PITCH CLOCK TOOLS

A PLAN FOR YOUR NEXT BULLPEN

Pitch Clock Drills for Baseball Pitchers

Pick a focus. Set the clock. Find a repeatable rhythm.

COACH-ASSISTED · 10 REPS · 15s

Bases-Empty Bullpen Reps

A coach starts each rep and taps when delivery motion begins. Work on settling into a repeatable setup within the 15-second window.

Review confirmed elapsed times after ten reps. Repeat with the same routine before shortening a custom training window. A smaller number is not automatically better.

Runner-On-Base Tempo

Practice a runner-on scenario using the 18-second MLB preset. A coach controls starts, pauses and resets around imagined field events.

Discuss looks and step-offs between reps. The app does not count disengagements or decide legal outcomes. Compare consistent setup times across confirmed observations.

COACH-ASSISTED · 8s REMINDER

Batter-Ready Awareness

Use ten 15-second reps to practice observing the batter-ready moment as the clock crosses eight seconds. The visual reminder is a prompt, not a ruling.

A coach still records pitch motion separately. Discuss readiness between reps; the report measures motion taps and does not record batter compliance.

SOLO · 10 SCHEDULED CYCLES

Solo Rhythm Series

Each cycle uses five seconds to prepare, a 15-second active window and 15 seconds to recover. These are exercise defaults, not mandated baseball intervals.

Set the phone safely outside the throwing area and optionally enable sound before starting. Adjust recovery to your practice plan. The report counts scheduled cycles, never pitch success.

Make the result useful.

Start with a consistent routine and a clear observer role. Change one setting at a time. Unknown reps should stay unknown unless the coach can honestly correct them. Interval completion alone says nothing about delivery timing.
